|Seeking:||Moya & Son|
|Location:||Glasgow and Strathclyde|
|Message:||Seeking Moya & her son. Moya`s surname was O`Neill or O`Reilly but may differ if she subsequently married. Moya was born between 1938 to 1941 and was brought up by her older sister Cathy/Kathy (as both parents died when she was young). There was a younger brother. The siblings lived at 10 Tang Hall Lane, York throughout the 1940`s and 1950`s. However, they had an aunt who lived in Quarry Street in Hamilton, Scotland. It was this aunt who Moya stayed with whilst she was pregnant in late 1959/60/61. Moya had a baby boy named William (Billy), after his biological father, and he was born at Rottenrow Maternity Hospital in Glasgow. My granny visited the pair often whilst they were in Rottenrow. The boy`s first name may have changed by birth registration time and/or he may have been adopted. He`d be about 58 years old now. I also know Moya spent time in a mother & baby unit in Glasgow (which one? I don`t know - but I do know, Moya was Catholic and unmarried ). I know she stayed in the Hamilton and Glasgow areafor at least a year, post birth, but she may have since moved back to her home town of York. I think the name Moya is a shortened form of Mary. If anyone recognises this family, story or indeed is a relative, I would be extremely grateful for any help - no matter how seemingly small or trivial. Thank you.|
